REQUESTS

PRAYER

please join us in prayer

  1. Thank God for answered prayer regarding health and safety on this last trip to Cuba. Mariano is fully recovered, and Martin is mostly recovered with some minor joint pain remaining. Pray for full recovery not only for Martin but also for many of our Cuban brothers and sisters across the island who are still suffering from mosquito-borne diseases (Dengue, Chikungunya, and Oropouche), which have similar symptoms.

  2. Pray for the Cuban people, who are suffering through a major economic crisis. Two recent hurricanes have affected several areas—especially in Eastern Cuba, where we were visiting. Pastor Ramón in Santiago told us that roads were closed and houses and churches were damaged, but there was no loss of life. Pray that the people will keep their trust in God and stand firm in the midst of such difficult circumstances.

  3. Pray for the spiritual health of the churches in Cuba and Mexico. Pray for marriages and families, as well as each believer’s personal walk with Jesus—that they might maintain daily intimacy with Him and live in the victory God desires for us.

  4. Pray for Martin’s upcoming trips to Mexico, New York, California, and Cuba in the next few months.

  5. Pray for Martin’s upcoming church planting seminar in Mexico in January. Pray for Pastor Alfredo Vega as he invites other Hispanic leaders to participate and encourages them to cultivate a missional culture within their churches.

  6. Pray for Kristy and me, that we might maintain our focus on Jesus every day.

  7. Pray for Mariano’s daughter Mariana, who recently had knee surgery and faces a long recovery process.

  8. Pray for Martin as he continues to work with the Hispanic church ICH to reach Hispanic families at Canaan Community.

  9. Pray for our new church planting team (Neno, Caleb, Mariano and me) as we begin meeting and praying together. Pray that God would work in us before He works through us.

  10. Thank God that this year VLA was able to meet our financial obligations and missions projects, and that we are in good financial health.

  11. Thank God for the prayer support and financial support we receive from individuals and churches. Each of you is a special part of the Vision Latin America team, and we thank God for you.
